Actian, originally named Relational Technology Incorporated, then Ingres, is a commercial corporation offering several DBMS software products or services, mainly ParAccel and Vector - both of which acquired after being independent companies with independent products first.

It was founded in 1980 by DBMS researcher Michael Stonebraker, Eugene Wong, and Prof. Lawrence A. Rowe.
